Telefonlardan elektrikli ara\u00e7lara, yenilenebilir enerji sistemlerinden savunma sanayine kadar pek \u00e7ok alanda kullan\u0131lan bu mineraller, son y\u0131llarda yaln\u0131zca ekonomik de\u011fil ayn\u0131 zamanda stratejik bir \u00f6nem de kazand\u0131. Nasa\u2019n\u0131n yeni sens\u00f6r\u00fc <strong>AVIRIS-5<\/strong>, bu aray\u0131\u015fta kilit rol oynuyor. <\/figure>\n<p>Nasa\u2019n\u0131n bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131, ABD Jeolojik Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar Kurumu (USGS) ile birlikte y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fclen ve <strong>GEMx<\/strong> ad\u0131 verilen kapsaml\u0131 bir ara\u015ft\u0131rma projesinin par\u00e7as\u0131. Mikrodalga f\u0131r\u0131n boyutlar\u0131ndaki bu geli\u015fmi\u015f sens\u00f6r, Nasa\u2019n\u0131n ER-2 y\u00fcksek irtifa ara\u015ft\u0131rma u\u00e7a\u011f\u0131n\u0131n burnuna entegre edilebiliyor. ER-2, ticari u\u00e7aklar\u0131n \u00e7ok \u00fczerinde, stratosfere yak\u0131n irtifalarda u\u00e7arak yery\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fc son derece net bir \u015fekilde tarayabiliyor. Sens\u00f6r\u00fcn ilk versiyonu 1986 y\u0131l\u0131nda kullan\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131 ve o tarihten bu yana teknoloji s\u00fcrekli olarak geli\u015ftirildi.<\/p>\n<p>AVIRIS-5\u2019in en \u00f6nemli \u00f6zelli\u011fi, minerallerin farkl\u0131 \u0131\u015f\u0131k dalga boylar\u0131n\u0131 yans\u0131tma bi\u00e7imlerini analiz edebilmesi. Her mineralin kendine \u00f6zg\u00fc bir kimyasal yap\u0131s\u0131 bulunur ve bu yap\u0131, \u0131\u015f\u0131kla etkile\u015fime girdi\u011finde adeta bir <strong>spektral parmak izi <\/strong>b\u0131rak\u0131r. Sens\u00f6r, g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcr ve k\u0131z\u0131l\u00f6tesi bantlarda yans\u0131yan bu \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131 alg\u0131layarak, y\u00fczeyde do\u011frudan g\u00f6r\u00fclmeyen mineral izlerini bile tespit edebiliyor. Bu y\u00f6ntem, \u00f6zellikle bitki \u00f6rt\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fcn seyrek oldu\u011fu \u00e7\u00f6l b\u00f6lgelerinde son derece etkili sonu\u00e7lar veriyor.<\/p>\n<p>GEMx projesi kapsam\u0131nda 2023 y\u0131l\u0131ndan bu yana ABD\u2019nin bat\u0131s\u0131nda yakla\u015f\u0131k 366 bin mil karelik, yani 950 bin kilometrekareyi a\u015fan bir alan tarand\u0131. Bu \u00f6l\u00e7ekte bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma, geleneksel saha ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131yla y\u0131llar alabilecek verilerin \u00e7ok daha k\u0131sa s\u00fcrede elde edilmesini sa\u011fl\u0131yor.
