G\u00fcne\u015f ve r\u00fczgar gibi yayg\u0131n yenilenebilir kaynaklar, kesintili \u00fcretim ve s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 arazi gereksinimi nedeniyle ada \u00fclkelerinde her zaman yeterli \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm sunam\u0131yor. Dalga enerjisi ise bu noktada daha istikrarl\u0131 ve s\u00fcrekli bir kaynak olarak \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yor. <\/figure>\n<p>Projenin en dikkat \u00e7ekici y\u00f6n\u00fc ise <strong>\u00e7ift \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131l\u0131 teknoloji<\/strong> yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131. Sistemde olu\u015fan hidrolik bas\u0131n\u00e7, ayn\u0131 anda <strong>hem yenilenebilir elektrik<\/strong> \u00fcretiminde <strong>hem de tuzdan ar\u0131nd\u0131rma<\/strong> tesislerinde kullan\u0131l\u0131yor. B\u00f6ylece Barbados\u2019un yaln\u0131zca enerji ihtiyac\u0131na de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda kronik su k\u0131tl\u0131\u011f\u0131 sorununa da \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm sunulmas\u0131 hedefleniyor.<\/p>\n<p>Teorik ara\u015ft\u0131rma a\u015famas\u0131n\u0131 geride b\u0131rakan ortakl\u0131k, art\u0131k 50 MW\u2019l\u0131k ticari pilot tesisin geli\u015ftirilmesi ve sahada somut kurulum a\u015famas\u0131na ge\u00e7mi\u015f durumda. Planlar beklendi\u011fi gibi ilerlerse, Atlas Okyanusu\u2019nun kinetik enerjisi k\u0131sa s\u00fcre i\u00e7inde Barbados i\u00e7in istikrarl\u0131 bir ulusal kaynak haline gelecek.<\/p>\n<p>Dalga enerjisi sistemlerinin en b\u00fcy\u00fck zorluklar\u0131ndan biri, sert deniz ko\u015fullar\u0131nda ya\u015fanan yap\u0131sal hasar riski. Wavepiston, bu sorunu a\u015fmak i\u00e7in teknolojisini 1:30 \u00f6l\u00e7ekli deneylerle test etti. Kontroll\u00fc dalga tanklar\u0131nda yap\u0131lan sim\u00fclasyonlar sayesinde say\u0131sal modeller do\u011fruland\u0131 ve sistemin g\u00fcncellenmi\u015f tasar\u0131m\u0131na dair kritik veriler elde edildi.<\/p>\n<p>Testler, Wavepiston\u2019un \u201cesnek yelken\u201d tasar\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n, dev dalgalar\u0131n y\u0131k\u0131c\u0131 kuvvetini pasif bi\u00e7imde s\u00f6n\u00fcmleyebildi\u011fini ortaya koydu.
